Caring for Your Kiddy Karat
1. Gently clean
After wearing, gently wipe your jewellery with a clean, soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive fabrics or rough cleaning materials.
2. Take it off before little adventures
We design our jewellery with children in mind, but fine jewellery still needs care. We recommend removing it before swimming, bathing, sleeping, sports or activities involving rough play.
3. Keep jewellery away from chemicals
Perfumes, lotions, creams, sanitizers, cleaning products and other chemicals can affect the finish of gold, enamel and other delicate elements. Allow skincare and fragrances to dry completely before putting jewellery on.
4. Protect it from excessive heat and moisture
Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, steam and unnecessary moisture, as these may affect delicate finishes and enamel details.
5. Give every piece its own little home
When not being worn, store your Kiddy Karat jewellery in the original box. This helps minimise scratches, tangling and accidental damage.
6. Treat delicate details with care
Some Kiddy Karat pieces feature enamel, personalised elements, delicate chains or small design details. Avoid pulling, bending, twisting or applying unnecessary pressure to these areas.
7. Check before wearing
For bracelets, necklaces and other pieces with clasps or chains, take a moment to check that the closure is secure before wearing. Regular checks can help prevent accidental breakage or loss.
If Your Jewellery Needs Attention
If you notice any unusual wear, damage, loose component or issue with your jewellery, please get in touch with the Kiddy Karat team before attempting to repair it yourself.
To help us understand the issue, we may ask you to share clear photographs or a short video of the jewellery.
Our team will review the concern and guide you on the appropriate next step, whether it requires care assistance, a repair or a warranty evaluation.
Please do not have your Kiddy Karat jewellery repaired, resized or altered by another jeweller without contacting us first. Unauthorised repairs or alterations may affect your warranty eligibility.
A Little Reminder for Parents
Kiddy Karat jewellery is thoughtfully designed for children, with comfort and skin-friendliness at the heart of our design process. However, jewellery remains a precious and delicate product.
For younger children, we recommend adult supervision while wearing jewellery, particularly with pieces containing lab-grown diamonds.
Please remove jewellery immediately if your child experiences any irritation or discomfort and contact us for assistance.
