At Kiddy Karat, we believe the most meaningful jewellery is personal. A name, a special date, a little drawing, a favourite symbol or a message meant only for them can turn a beautiful piece into a lifelong keepsake.
Because customised jewellery is created especially for you, we follow a few simple guidelines to make the process smooth, transparent and special.
01. Before We Begin
Every customised order requires a non-refundable advance payment before design work or production begins. The advance amount will depend on the nature and requirements of your order.
Once we receive your requirements, our design team will work with you to understand your idea and create the proposed design.
Production will begin only after:
- The design has been approved by you in writing through email or WhatsApp.
- The required advance / payment has been received.
Your written approval confirms that the design is ready to be made.
02. Customisation & Design Changes
We want you to love the final piece, so we encourage you to review the design carefully before giving your approval.
Once the design has been approved and production has started, changes may not be possible.
Any changes requested after production has begun may:
- Affect the delivery timeline
- Require additional material or production costs
- Incur additional charges, where applicable
Any additional cost will be communicated to you for approval before proceeding.
03. Production Timeline
Customised jewellery generally requires approximately 20 to 25 working days for production, excluding weekends and public holidays.
The timeline begins after the design has been finalised and the required payment has been received.
Please note that highly detailed, personalised or bespoke designs may require additional time. If there is any significant change to the expected timeline, our team will keep you informed.
04. Cancellation, Returns & Exchanges
Because customised jewellery is made specifically according to your requirements, customised, engraved and personalised pieces cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once production has commenced.
The advance paid towards a customised order is non-refundable.
If you need to make any changes to your order, please contact our team before providing final design approval. We will do our best to accommodate the request wherever possible.
05. Gold Exchange / Buyback
If applicable under Kiddy Karat's prevailing gold exchange or buyback terms, the eligible gold value / weight of a customised piece may be adjusted towards the purchase of another Kiddy Karat product, including a ready-to-ship or newly customised piece.
Any applicable deductions, making charges, stone value, taxes or other charges will be communicated separately as per the applicable terms at the time of exchange.
06. Your Approval Matters
Personalised jewellery is created from the details you provide to us.
Before production, please carefully check and confirm:
- Name spellings
- Dates
- Initials
- Engravings
- Measurements
- Design details
- Personalisation instructions
Once you provide final written approval, production will proceed based on the approved details.
Kiddy Karat will not be responsible for errors in personalised information that were approved by the customer before production.
07. Delivery
Customised jewellery follows our standard shipping and delivery process once production is complete.
If you have a specific gifting date or need the jewellery urgently, please let our team know before placing the order. We may be able to arrange an expedited delivery and production option depending on feasibility and applicable charges.
An expedited request cannot be guaranteed unless it has been confirmed by the Kiddy Karat team.
08. How the Customisation Process Works
Step 1 — Share your idea
Tell us what you have in mind — a name, engraving, symbol, drawing, motif, special date or any other personal detail.
Step 2 — We bring the idea to life
Our design team will understand your requirements and develop the proposed design.
Step 3 — Review & refine
You will have the opportunity to review the design and request reasonable changes before final approval.
Step 4 — Confirm & approve
Once you are happy with the design, provide your final approval in writing and complete the required payment.
Step 5 — We craft it
Your piece then moves into production and is created especially for your little one.
Step 6 — It becomes theirs
Once completed, your personalised Kiddy Karat piece is carefully prepared and shipped to you.
09. A Note About Bespoke Creations
Some custom requests may involve special designs, unusual dimensions, specific materials or production techniques.
Depending on the request, Kiddy Karat may determine that a particular customisation is not technically feasible or may require a different production approach.
We reserve the right to decline a custom request where we are unable to meet our quality, safety or production standards.
